Good Morning,
Currently socked in with thick cloud cover and the occasional light snow flurry. Quite a change from the stunningly clear skies this mountain has enjoyed of late, but still unique and appreciated in its own way. Total snow accumulation is at around 8.5” and not expected to change much with this current storm. Yesterday’s high temp was 35° with a low of 19°. We’re in the low 20s at the moment. US 441 is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic while Cherokee Orchard remains open, although that could change in an instant if road conditions there sour. So if you elect to get outside and play in the park, just be mindful of what you are driving and hiking in. We get through today and it appears the sunshine will return for us tomorrow. Time to fix breakfast! Have a great day.

I could be mistaken of course, but that looks like the Black Mountains, near the horizon, in the bottom picture. Awesome picture, regardless!

Great looking pics! Gonna try to come up Friday the 15th to stay a night at the shelter. Haven't got to see snow up top yet!
