Good morning folks,
Its another fine morning in camp. Mt. LeConte has been experiencing terrific weather the last 3 days. Not a cloud in the sky. The high yesterday reached 33 degrees. The overnight low dropped down to 14 degrees. It’s currently 26 degrees with calm winds and plenty of ice on the mountain. No precipitation was recorded. Our snow depth is holding strong around 3” with deeper spots around camp and trails to Cliff tops. Clouds return today with chances of snow on Thursday night. Weather stations are still watching a winter storm system that could bring heavy snowfall to the mountains. Everyone start the LeConte snow dances I want to see some deep snow! Have a good one folks. Yesterday was a another blue bird day on the mountain. Warmer in the sun than the shade. Plenty of ice in camp and around trails. Crampons will be needed folks. Fresh homemade bread paired with a bowl of chili. Good for the bones on a chilly LeConte evening. High top is coming alive with this mornings sunrise. See you at the top! PNUT
