Good morning folks,
It’s a foggy start to the morning in camp. Frozen frost has coated the firs again. Cold this morning with a light wind pushing through camp. The high yesterday only reached 34 degrees. The overnight low dropped down to 18 degrees. Its currently 19 degrees. We received 0.03” of precipitation with a light dusting of snow. Our snow depth is still holding on at 3”. Today looks to be a wonderful day to spend on top of everyone’s favorite mountain. Looking ahead, winter weather returns Sunday with a large amount of snow possible. Stay tuned! Keep doing those LeConte snow dances! Crampons (micro-spikes) are a must. Anyone want to go ice skating? Slide, slide, slipping, slide. Anyways, be safe. Have a good one! Light snowflakes danced around the cold air covering the thick ice around camp. Heavy clouds surround Cliff tops with brief views of the valley below. Light flurries were a treat for this evening. The firs are happy again. Raven/crows have been very active the last couple days around camp. Filled water jugs yesterday, showered and caught up on some reading. Fondue was on the menu paired with a fantastic salad. What better way than to enjoy melted cheese and bread by oil lamp on LeConte. I retired to my warm, cozy cabin for the evening. SEE YOU AT THE TOP! PNUT

Excited about the snow coming this Sunday. Must be fun to be hunkered down and safe to experience this event. Be safe - stay warm.
