Good morning,

It’s currently 13 degrees and clear up top. Yesterday’s high was 25, with an overnight low of 4. We still have trace amounts of snow up top, along with ice on sections of the trail.

--

It seemed the new year had brought a silence over the mountain. Few hikers appeared to be wandering up the trail; even the winds were quiet. I walked silently to the cloud covered sunrise. It was another one of those blue-jean colored mornings. A deep blue filter coated the world. How different today was from yesterday’s show. I smiled and soaked in the still landscape around me.

Back at the lodge, I warmed the kettle for tea. Minutes later, the smell of ginger-turmeric tea filled the kitchen. Again, I smiled. My thoughts wafted to the a recently gifted book that had ensnared me from page one. The book lay patiently in a warm nearby loft…

…a needed reading day was afoot.

Onward,
Seth

Good Morning, Seth.....I saw you had ginger and turmeric tea on your post this morning......I thought you might like to see my recipe for a Morning Smoothie----->

Visited my daughter, Cana, in Indiana a few weeks ago..... She gave me a Do It and Add To It Smoothie Recipe so I jumped right on it and here’s what I concocted......

Simple Truth Organic Spring Greens and Baby Spinach.....Big Fistful.
One Banana.
Half Cup or more Frozen Blueberries.
Two tbsp Qi’a Superfood - Chia, Buckwheat and Hemp Cereal.
The juice of half a lemon.
One Tsp of Cinnamon.
A serving each of Ginger and Turmeric.
One serving of protein powder.
Fill to top of mixture with Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng.
A handful of ice cubes.
Leave plenty of room at the top of your blender, then chop and liquefy.
Be sure to stir it all up each time you pour a glass.

Make your own your own way and enjoy!..... 🎄🌞😃

As I drove toward Pigeon Forge I looked up toward the three peaks. They looked just as icy as they do in today's photos. Glad you have a book and steaming teas to enjoy.

Seth the pictures you are posting are beautiful. Keep up the good work. Everybody really appreciates you doing this. I wouldn't be able to put up with the freezing temperatures up there. Funny thing is we are having below 0 temperatures down here right now. I can't wait for this to go away. I live in Cincinnati, OH. It is like this across a huge area of the U.S.
