Clear skies heard my cries, as we are blessed with another clear day! It is currently 27 degrees up here, with high winds and an ever-present sun. Despite the sun we've had in the past few days, snow blankets still remain unscathed. We still have 6 inches on the ground! With the natural beauty and wonder that this mountain already possesses, A thick layer of snow is the cherry on top of the sundae. That being said, use caution and take a little extra time hiking the trails towards the top half of the hill. Ice hides beneath trampled powder, and snow drifts are well above the ankles! Bring ice traction and determination...
Yesterday's high was right at 30 degrees, with a pleasant low of 16! Sun rays had their ways yet again. Clear and calm; the mountain was at its best...

"After yet another beautiful finale at Cliff Tops, we scurried back to our warm abode under the bright moonlight. With steak, potatoes and wine on our agenda, we were eager to return! The moon watched over us the whole way, lighting the path with ease. Upon reaching the first set of cabins, I was in awe. The light show beneath us shined ever so bright, and the moon was like a spotlight. Untouched powder glistened like quartz as we walked to our sanctuary. The wind had ceased, and not a sound was uttered until we crept inside. With no other souls up here (that I knew of), I felt the need to preserve the silence; embrace the solitude. I slipped out the back door once the potatoes were in the oven, I had a quick date with the moon. Staring into the face of the spotlight, I felt small in relation to this world. These cherished moments make freezing my tail feathers off worth while..."
