 Goodnight, moon. Rabbit, Rabbit! Trail update for the weekend: ALUM CAVE TRAIL WILL BE OPEN THIS THURSDAY! Just for this holiday weekend the Alum Cave trail will be open for an additional day tomorrow, July 2.
Yesterday's high was 62, the low was 49 and we had 1.26" of rainfall throughout the day and into the evening. Today it is cloudy and a cool 54 degrees with a few showers here and there already this morning.

One of my favorite pictures yet! I know it's weird, but I often check the GSMNP Webcam after dark just to see what shows up and one night there was the most beautiful (and mysterious looking) picture of the moon peeping out through the clouds. Was both of my daughters' favorite books when they were little too!

Sorry you all didn't get the blood red moon we've had here in Middle TN the last couple of nights. Apparently smoke from Wildfires in Canada is in the atmosphere and causing our sunsets to be crazy vivid and moonlight to be tinged red. It's kind of creepy, actually... Comments are closed.
