Good Morning,

We’re deep into summer now, and the extended forecast looks like there’s no end in sight to these hot and humid days. The mountain has had the benefit of clouds clinging to the summit to help keep things slightly cooler. As long as that continues, Mt. LeConte will be a great place to escape the 90-100° temps lingering below. There is a chance for pop-up showers around dinner time today, but the rest of the day ought to be a mix of clouds and sun. We’ll continue to see lodge high temps in the upper 60s.

In a normal year, yesterday would have marked the halfway point of the lodge season, spanning from when the crew hikes up in mid March til closing day right before Thanksgiving. Since we were able reopen our doors two months ago, the time has just flown by. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who has taken the time and energy to visit the lodge or stay with us, even in such unusual times. Our crew continues to work hard for our guests, even with the various changes, and looks forward to serving you to the best of their abilities these remaining four months of the 2020 season.

Have a great start to the week. Stay safe and stay cool!

The crew does a fantastic job. The time we stayed we were treated so great and the crew seemed so happy and content. I guess that's part of working atop one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Thanks for the posts and the beautiful pictures daily.

Just want to say that the LeConte crew did a stellar job with managing the increased work load with Covid 19 precautions. Our stay in June was very enjoyable. Favorite place to visit! Keep up the great work!

A friend and I hiked up Alum Cave on June 15 and spent the night at the lodge. We arrived just as the hail, along with the temperature, began falling, but all was well. We had a great time and the staff was tremendous. Hope to be back next year.

The staff at LeConte Lodge are a big part of why our visit was so amazing. Everyone was friendly and the food and service was great. Looking forward to going back. Once is not enough!

We hiked up June 23rd and the staff was amazing! As always. Even with the safety procedures and everything with the current situation. The day we came up it was chilly and foggy but we made the best of and enjoyed talking to staff. We utilized the table and chairs inside our cabin for meals. See you in October!
