What a beautiful morning we are having up top! After a few straight days of stormy weather, it is nice to see the sun again. Yesterday's high was 59 and the low fell to a chilly 40 degrees with thunder showers through the afternoon. It cleared up at dinner once again and we were left with a spectacular double rainbow! (It's hard to see the second one, but it was there!) Right now we are already in the mid 50's and partly cloudy. Very pleasant weather for a walk in the woods!

The bear is single and gainfully employed. He is new to the area and would love to meet other singles.

Hey, Doug, I spent a little time in your fair city of London, this afternoon, having a battery cable replaced. Suddenl, my electronics started going haywire. Somebody steed me to the Laurel Service Center, and I was on my way in less than an hour. Nice folks!

Electronics? In your car? Wow! It's time I trade up. Glad you didn't have any more trouble than that Kent. If you had been stranded there any longer, you could have gone into the downtown area and watched them roll up the sidewalks for the night ! I'm considering driving down to the Park in the next day or so and will probably tent camp out at the Cosby campground where I haven't stayed in a very long time; I think that this campground is one of the best kept secrets in the Park as far as campgrounds go. Good hiking.
