The second weekend of June is upon just like that. It’s a cloudy start to the day, yet again, with a solid chance of showers and thunderstorms on tap for this afternoon. If you’re quick, you could get up and down the mountain this morning for a day hike before conditions sour. Although views will be difficult to come by. Temps are to remain in lock step with where we’ve been, between lower 50s and lower 60s. Winds are expected to be a little breezier today, with gusts upwards of 20mph possible at times. Sunday should finally be the day we start to see improvement in the forecast and hopefully the return of some sunshine. Trails are still going to be wet and muddy in low lying or poorly draining areas, especially after yesterday’s persistent rains.
