Going to be a mostly cloudy and rainy Father’s Day on the mountain. Our region is set to catch some lingering outer bands from Tropical Storm Claudette as it passes well to the south of us. The Smokies’ peaks are currently cloud-capped and intermittent showers are expected to cycle through. Winds should remain calm before picking up some steam overnight and into Monday. Temps are starting off in the lower 50s and we hope to reach the mid 60s this afternoon. The beginning of the coming week shows some rain chances as well, so come prepared for varying weather conditions, typical for a summer day on Mt. LeConte.
