Prettiest sunrise we've had in a few weeks.
Hey y'all! We've had a beautiful morning so far today and I'm hoping the sun stays with us all day. Yesterday's high was a very humid (even for us up here) 73 and the low was 55. No rain fell yesterday, but there is a lot predicted for the weekend, so keep that in mind when you're packing your packs to come up! Right now, it is partly cloudy and 67 with very little breeze...it will be warm today for sure. Water, water, water!

I'll take that humid 73 over our Humid 94 in Florida right now:) Last time we were able to hike up LeConte temps somehow hit 80. Staff took pics of the thermometer. Don't believe it's ever happened before or since. Pretty rare...

That was a record setting heat wave. It broke 80 for 2 or 3 days in a row, and it hasn't made it to 80 since then (and I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon because that heat wave was bad for the whole region (it hit 108 one afternoon here in Nashville).

Feels like temp of 102 here in Tampa, now. That's actually nice compared to the 123 feels like temp yesterday. We're at 90 with 69% humidity.

I'm more of a Half-Festivus guy, myself. Time to polish up the pole!

That really brought a smile to my face Kent......in fact I laughed out loud! Shall we invite George, Elaine, Kramer and Jerry?

Kent

Of course, it wouldn't be Half-Festivus without 'em! : )

Did they finally get out of jail?

Kent
6/26/2015 05:02:51 am

Yep. But they all relocated to an undisclosed foreign country to start over. Word has it they changed their ways and are now avid philanthropists.

P.S. Hold onto your hat, Norman! ; )

Best show that ever was, and still is, on TV. I still watch the re-runs as if I'd never seen them........and I've seen them multiple times.

I agree with you, Tenderfoot. Best show ever, and every night I watch the re-runs. I got those shows memorized!
Not that there's anything wrong with that.........

Good one Ron! And do you think many know about "shrinkage"? Or who Art Vandelay is? How about Elaine's Christmas card. 😜

This has to be one of the strangest comment streams ever on this blog. It's all elktonbrant's fault, too. ; )
