Good Afternoon!

Today has been a gorgeous day! With temps currently at 63 degrees, its perfect weather to run around in the sun. And yes, we finally got some sun! After what felt like three weeks straight of clouds and rain, a majority of our day was filled with sunshine, birds singing and bugs crawling around. We have loved the change of pace even though, as I type this, the rain clouds are coming in again. 

Yesterday was a busy day in terms of day hikers visiting the lodge. We did get a few calls about an aggressive bear on Rainbow Falls Trail. It's the time of year for bears! If you do see a bear on the trail, please stay away from it, yell at it, and especially if it is in camp, let us know immediately. Yes they are fun to look at, but we don't want anyone getting hurt on trail or at the lodge.

For weather yesterday, our high was 60, and overnight low was 52. As we were loading the llamas for their trip back down, it poured buckets on us and we were all soaked! While it wasn't the best scenario, we enjoyed making the memories in the rain. There's always a new experience to be had on LeConte! With that rain, and rain overnight, we had a total of .93 inches for the past 24 hours. This brings our grand total to 43.68 inches this season.
