Morning y'all, It's a beautiful, snowy morning up top. The high yesterday reached 25 degrees. The overnight low was 15 degrees. It was 23 degrees and clear at 7am observation. The mountain received no new precipitation and there is still about 2 inches of snow remaining up top. The trails are sure to be slick, I would definitely recommend some sort of traction devices if you intend to reach the summit. Enjoy the lovely weekend! Thank you, JP, not only for sharing this amazing image, but for including a photo credit for Mr. Ketelle. All the technical details are perfect, the subject is incredible, and the composition is stellar. It is a work of art.

Thanks for the stunning photo and the opportunity for introspection with the words of Emerson. Both seem to go together as we study each.

My friend and I were in our way to the top but had to turn around because it was getting dark. On the way down we met some of your friends on their way to bring you food. Sounded like it was going to be a fun party Saturday night. Hate we missed it.
