Good Morning, We have a few more hours of flying to knock out before wrapping up this seasons resupply, but yesterday was a full and productive day. The weather will be clear again this morning and significantly warmer than what we endured yesterday. It’s already above freezing and it feels like a heat wave. The thermometer might even tap the mid 40s this afternoon. Come tomorrow we have some more turbulent weather and frigid temps on the way. Trails still have a fair amount of ice hanging out in the shady places, so use caution. Special thank you to one of our sister properties, Tazikis Mediterranean with two Knoxville locations, for providing us delicious food to keep our team fueled when flying. Not only are they catering all-stars across East Tennessee, but even deliver tasty goods at all elevations!
Have a great day.

Hey I just wanted to say thank you so much for your daily posts. You saved my girlfriend and I a lot of agony. We are from Florida and had plans to hike leconte until encountering your posts. Now I plan to read them everyday just for enjoyment! I noticed not a lot of people comment on your work so I wanted to personally say thank you and encourage you to keep writing as well, you have a great sense of pacing and humor that translates naturally on page. 🤙 Thanks so much for helping to keep up safe and informed!

Greetings! Hiking to LeConte Tuesday via Alum. Staying at lodge. Do you recommend spikes?

I would have spikes in my pack, and I will when we hike up 03/27/23.
