Good Morning,
A day that started sour ended pretty sweet.  The clouds and muck of the morning eventually broke open to clear and sunny skies later in the day.  Winds reminded us of their presence throughout the day, especially during sunset at Cliff Tops, but were never overbearing.  Our high temp turned out to be 38 degrees, with a low of 15.  Ice and snow remain spotty, and we woke up to everything being coated in frost today, so continue to pack those traction devices should you choose to make the ascent.

There is a distinct possibility that we will commence our annual resupply Airlift today.  We'll see if all of the contributing factors in that decision align for us.  With that said, we will be posting signs and caution tape around the perimeter of camp with staff to inform and direct visitors about the closure of lodge grounds.  Accessing water spigots and restrooms will be limited to when it is deemed safe for visitors to enter camp.  While the helicopter is in the air, keeping hikers away from the action at a certain distance is the best way to ensure their safety.  Please respect these closures and the dedicated folks staffing the entrances.  Thank you.  Have a great day.

Absolutely stunning! Hopefully airlift is a go in that beautiful sky.

Annie and Phil made it up there Friday. Someone offered Phil $100 for his ice spikes (Katoolas). Even with the traction devices, he fell once and had to grab the cable. Ice ain't no joke folks, take care. Here's hoping for flight today so guests can start the season! Be of good cheer.

Please continue daily posts. Posts were sketchy at best last year and lacking in ways.
Many people would love to hike up, but are physically unable to do so. ii Descriptive daily posts are the next best thing.
JP's daily posts throughout the winter, always brings a bright spot to dreary days.
Have a awesome summer and share each day with us. Thanks

I sincerely hope that the airlift goes smoothly and safely. Sadly, there's always someone who thinks he's better than everybody else and will try to cross the barriers erected for the safety of all so hopefully there'll be enough personnel and approved volunteers on hand to prevent such unnecessary occurences. Good flying.

Beautiful photo! Would love to have that framed 30X36 in my "man cave"!

Sounds like the airlift will take place soon. That's great. Those two pictures were beautiful. I hope I can get pictures like that when we are up there next month. I hope it will be clear skies and not raining. Keep up the good work on the blog. And thanks Tom G.
