Good morning! All is well on the mountain as we woke up to an inch of snow that fell late yesterday afternoon and overnight. The sun was shining for a little over an hour as we began to move around camp however, we are currently back in the clouds again. Overnight, we hit a low of 17 degrees and are currently sitting at a chilly 20. We are hoping to warm up some more throughout the day although it isn't looking hopeful until tomorrow midday. Again, if hiking up, remember to layer up and keep those traction devices at hand. Highway 441 remains closed due to snow and icy conditions. If you would like to make a day hike to the lodge, please use Rainbow Falls or Bull Head trails. Going into the weekend, we are expecting sunny clear skies with no rain in the forecast. With melting snow, overnight temps will cause some refreezing. Watch out for ice! Snow or no snow, when the sun comes out gotta take full advantage. 17 degrees is no match for Site Manager Jeremiah.

Love the name Jeremiah (my grandson's name) but not the Jeremiah pictured. Looks like he's a relaxed kind of guy. Looking forward to happenings atop my favorite mountain! Happy Opening Day!
