It's starting to finally warm up! Yesterday's high only reached 21 and the over night low was 3. This morning, the kitchen was so cold that it felt like rolling out concrete when I was making out biscuits. But the sun is out and shinning and there isn't a cloud in the sky (for now, of course) and the temperature is steadily rising! It's about 30 now and I believe we will be above freezing by this afternoon.
The trails, at the very least the top portions, are still very slick, so be very careful if you are coming up today. Use that traction! I think I will spend this lovely Sunday afternoon in the woods myself...

The mountains and the lodge are beautiful with the snow but I'd prefer it to be a little warmer when I'm there. I endured the 12 degrees and snow on 4/14 last year. See y'all on April 13!

Looks spectacular! We will be up there tomorrow. Here's hoping for continued warming and not too much rain tonight!

made it up and down alum today. micro spikes really came in handy. was almost a carbon copy of jan. 31 trip up. was about as pretty as i have ever seen it, snow and ice cycles hanging on the trees looked like a Christmas card the las 1/4 mile.
