At the start of the day, 5:00 AM, it was 32 degrees outside but a cold front came in and by 8:00 AM we were at 20 degrees. After a couple of hours of snowfall we are currently at 1 inch of snow on the ground. We are not expecting temps to get much higher than mid 20s today. Forecasts are not calling for more snowfall but with these low temps we will continue to have snow and icy conditions for another day or so. If you are planning a hike up be sure to bring those traction devices and plenty of warm layers.
