Good morning folks, Its another fine morning on everyone’s favorite mountain. The weather right now is nothing short of perfect. Blue skies dominated the mountain with seasonal like weather. The high yesterday reached 41 degrees. The overnight low only dipped down to 25 degrees. It’s currently 26 degrees with clear skies and calm winds. No precipitation was recorded. Traction is not needed to reach the summit. Come on up and enjoy this weather folks it’s going to be a repeat of yesterday. Plenty of sunshine with no clouds in the sky! A little colder temperatures this weekend but that’s to be expected this time of the year in the high elevations. Remember temperatures do drop more as you climb so if it’s warm and toasty down below it’s chiller at the top. I will be enjoying the sun and the mountain. Have a great day folks. One couldn’t ask for better weather right now. The Smokies are showing their beauty these last couple days. This is another season I love in the park. Spring is coming folks. Another trip down Alum was in store yesterday. Training again for the trip in May, my legs were definitely feeling it. This day was much slower and honestly I enjoyed just hiking the trail. Running into a few local hikers I stopped and chatted. The trail was beginning to get busy by mid day so I hurried back up top. I was rewarded with a fantastic sunset for my work up and down the mountain. As well as a Taco supper! I retired to my cabin after two hard days. Oil lamps faded into the night. See you at the top! One should try and catch sunrise right now!! PNUT 3 huge LeConte Crunchy Tacos loaded and a side of black beans with all the fix-ins. I ate way too much!

PNUT what do you use on your camera to get that star effect from the sun?
