Good morning folks,

It’s another fine morning in camp. The high yesterday reached 46 degrees. The overnight low came in at 25 degrees. It’s currently 31 degrees with calm winds. No precipitation was recorded. Weather is prime folks. Come on up and enjoy the mountain. Have a great day.

Welp, this is my last blog post for the season. It’s bitter sweet. I will miss the mountain and the traditions that go along. One couldn’t have had better weather from start to end. From waist deep snow drifts, snow tubing the front steps, snow shoeing to Cliff Tops. It’s been a magical experience! I want to thank all the lodge fans that follow this blog. You all are amazing folks. The lodge holds a special place in this ole boys heart and soul. For now, it’s time for me to head down and let the lodge come alive again for the season. The mountain has rested and rewarded me with so many things to take home. Sunrise/sunsets, early mornings in the famous kitchen with the oil lamps burning away the darkness. It will all be very missed. Thank you Mt. LeConte! See you at the top! I’m ready to see Haley and the puppies (Aspen Rose and Juno)

The first picture you posted is so marvelous. The sun’s rays on the rocks and the varying shades of purple really catch your attention. Enjoy your time off the mountain.
