What a beautiful morning we are having up top! Yesterday the clouds cleared out before we were even done making camp! The temperature finally reached an acceptable number for a spring afternoon, hitting 52 at the highest. The overnight low was 34 and it is currently clear, gorgeous and 49. Yesterday was so nice, I headed off after lunch to Brushy Mountain and saw beautiful flowers blooming all the way. Saw plenty of hikers on the way, everyone excited that the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is reopened! Just in time too, don't forget that Alum Cave Trail closes tomorrow!
I'm headed back down the mountain this evening, but only for a few days. Everyone have a wonderful week!

Your photography has been outstanding. Really wonderful. Can feel that rush of cool air up top...and hear the breakfast bell calling. Thx

That's a beautiful image of the trillium, but I have to say that I'm opposed to the painting of any foliage in the park. It's just wrong!
