Happy Mother's Day and good morning! A bit of a dreary day so far, the fog is rolling fast through camp and the clouds are sitting low and heavy with rain that has yet to start falling. But it's warm, at least, right now 53. Yesterday's high reached 63 and the low was 47. Today is threatening to be soggy, so pack accordingly! Everyone stay safe and dry and call your mothers (in fact, that's what I'm doing now!).
Today's photo is typical of how I see the lodge, fogged in and giving the sensation of solitude and being totally separated from the mainstream of civilization which is what it personally means to me. I posted a similar photo on my own site which shows a foggy scene around the lodge a few weeks ago. As others have commented, a collection of the photos posted here would comprise a wonderful book of photos and would need little commentary with them for they essentially explain themselves. I believe that it is the underlying allure that attracts us to the place and why so many people fall in love with its magical atmosphere.

Doug Y, I had to look at your pictures first thing this morning. You don't mind me using them for wall paper, do you? I'm not copying them. I asume that is you in the 2nd one, and where is that ridge in the 1st one? HAGD Comments are closed.
