This morning I awoke to the wind howling and rain pounding on my roof. Last night, the relaxing rain storm we received overnight lulled me to sleep in my cozy room. Within the last 24 hours, we received 1.74 inches of rain and with an overnight low of 38 degrees, guests and crew are all huddled in their warm beds this morning. The only movement in camp is the squirrels and birds as they awake from their slumber. Today, we are expecting the rain to stop and the clouds to clear but, temps will remain in the mid to lower 40s. If you plan on a summit today, bring those waterproof layers as the trees tend to send their excess water dripping down ones back adding an extra chill. Have a fantastic Monday!
