Good Afternoon, Another chilly night is behind us with an overnight low of 27 degrees. I was curled up under my blanket with my heater roaring as I fell asleep last night. Yesterday, our high of 42 felt warm compared to our overnight temps and I was able to keep my windows open for a majority of the day. Today, we are expecting a warm up topping around 50 degrees.. I'm sure the llamas will be happy about that. The birds are chirping, deer are roaming around, and we've already seen our fare share of day hikers hanging out in the office. We hope to see you at the top soon as well! Smokey would like to remind you that Trillium Gap Trail is currently closed to day hikers Monday through Thursday for trail maintenance. During the remainder of the season, he and his llama brethren will be summiting Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As you won't be able to see them on the trail anymore, a friendly reminder that when they first arrive at the lodge, they do need a break before you are able to hang out with them. Once they have about a 20 minute break and have a chance to eat their food, you can pet them on the neck and take all the pictures you want!
