Technically, it wasn't our camp. A bear ran through the shelters camp last night and sounds like he's going to hang out for a bit. It was a good night for a run though, 48 degrees after a 60 high, albeit the cloudy drizzle has turned the mountainside into a bit of a ghost town. Made some new friends last night who knew how to collar mice.
It was terrifying. Remember your rain gear today!

I woke up this morning to an eerie fog and the smell of the Smokies in the air. It is what I call a "Smoky Mountain Morning". And it reminds me that I'll be headed that way around the 27th. Unfortunately I won't be up the mountain as I no longer can do it in one day so will wait until my September reservation. Nonetheless I will be enjoying some of the trails of the Smokies. Someone asked about posting the pic of the 2016 shirt which I think was done early on but can you tell us what colors they are available. Enjoying your posts very much. Shoo that bear away before September!!

Ryn, thanks for the excellent service at dinner. Rob was impressed by your ability to keep his glass (almost) full. Glad you could receive an education in collarless mice in return!

I was just curious as to a portion of the title of todays entry. What did you mean by "collarless mice"?? 5/4/2016 02:23:55 am
Wish I could make it back up there, but does not look like my body will let me. I just wanted to see the nice! Comments are closed.
