It is a little socked in this morning. The weather forecast is calling for flash floods until noon. The high yesterday was a nice cool 68 degrees. This may be a good day for that nap and a good book.

Socked in is one of the lovely aspects of Mt LeConte! Although I dare say being socked in for several days in a row could become rather depressing. The charm of being surrounded with a cool mist after living in the hot lowlands is unresistible.

Your photo just adds to my desire to be at the lodge ! We're getting so much rain here in S.E. KY that officials have posted flash flood warnings, too. Would be a great time to be sitting on a porch up there, enjoying the weather.

That looks beautiful to me! I live in N.C. KY and the heat has been suffocating. I see myself with a good book and a cup of coffee up there at LeConte Lodge! Comments are closed.
