The guests awoke to 1 1/2 " of fresh powder on the ground. The forecast is calling for more. The high yesterday never reached above freezing. 31 was the high with a low of 21. We are awaiting the big storm to hit.

That picture makes me feel cold even while I am sitting inside a warm condo.

Thanks so much for your posts and your enthusiasm. I've only made it up to LeConte eight times, but the mighty mountain is in my mind and my soul every day.

I LOVE this picture! I think I'll go have some hot chocolate (not as good as yours) and sit and just look at this picture for a while and pretend I'm looking out a window. Thanks, Allyson for sharing your world with ours!

Wow!Our group missed this by just four days. I was grateful for all of the sunshine while we were there, but the snow would have been a blast. Thanks for the picture.

Absolutely beautiful! Several years ago I spent the night in the LeConte shelter with nearly a foot of snow and 18 degrees. Sitting by the fire at the Lodge, sipping hot chocolate, and watching the falling snow does seem a bit more appealing! Wish I were there, too!

So hard to believe we were just there Tuesday night this week and hiked in short sleeves and 50 deg weather. Hiked in to Ramsey today it seemed like Narnia. About 4" of snow on everything starting about 2 miles into the hike. Nothing at the trail head.
