The mountains are bursting with color. Chris and I went for a hike with some of the crew yesterday. We went a little ways down the Boulevard Trail. It took a while because I kept stopping at every corner to check out the amazing colors. The mountain ash berries are fire engine red. The mountain side looks like a patch work quilt made out of mountain ash berries. They are a brilliant red at the moment. The temperatures are dropping. The high yesterday was 53º with another low of 26º. I found some evidence of the cold nights while hiking on the north slope of the Boulevard trail.

Oh brr chilly! I will use the first pic as my screen saver today. lol Some frost here in central KY this morning, mostly on my roof; at least that isn't a four-letter word. I've got to go review some of my trail photos and see if I can identify the view in the top photo for today as right now I cannot. What great hiking weather these recent days !

The mountains are my home. Have been away for over two weeks now. Coming home this weekend and can't wait to see the colors. You are always my source to go to when out of town to keep up with what is going on at the mountains and when I'm home too. Thank you! Comments are closed.
