Sorry to be posting so late. I had a bird to tend to. Today is the crew's Mountain Thanksgiving. It is a big celebration for us. I have been cooking for three days and am glad to say it was a hit. It is a gorgous day to be on the mountain, to bad I am now suffering from a food coma. The high yesterday was 47 with a low of 36. JP should be hitting the summit tomorrow night. The season is almos over. Now time for a nap.

Cant wait for your updates JP. I'm sure you will have better luck with some snow this winter. Enjoy your peace and solitude. I love my family but have to admit I would enjoy some "quiet time" myself.

Thats alot of food! Bet there will be leftovers for JP, or at least he hopes so. I am now onto that too. 21 I will have for Thanksgiving at my house, fun times. Ohh, that cranberry sauce looks so good, I could eat the whole bowl.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! The food looks soooo good. Thanks for all your beautiful photos and words this season. Also am looking forward hearing and seeing JP's perspective of the mountain, it must be quite a different experience being up there for so long with all that solitude. Safe travels to the crew and I am counting the months until our first overnight on LeConte next May!

Thanks to all involved in making it possible to visit this awesome place. I am truly thankful for each visit to Mt. LeConte; and look forward to the next visit. The daily pictures and reports are a quick visit one day closer to that next trip. Thanks and enjoy your time off. Looking forward to your daily posts JP; and thanks for taking care during the off season!

Thank you for all the wonderful photos & updates! I started with the one that had pictures of biscuits ready for breakfast by lantern light ... I've been hooked ever since. My goal date is July 2014 and I so look forward to this prize I am keeping my eye on as I train to be able to go up there safely. I appreciate you so much!
