My Office Window

11/8/2011

People ask me why I come back year after year. Where else am I going to get a view like this from my work window???

Another beautiful morning on the mountain. The crowds are dying down. The trails are less traveled and the mountain has a quiet feeling about it. I love this time of year.

I must say this is a great post. I have read your last two blog posts on the same topic, those were excellent too. Keep it up and keep posting blogs on related matter.

I did a day hike with my family to view your office window view back in mid July, and that memory lives with me as I type this looking out my boring office window. As your season is close to closing, I want to tell your how much I appreciate your daily posts and great pictures. It is great to see the mountain season cycle from here in Cincinnati.

What a great view! I start my day reading your posts, so thank-you very much. You mentioned that the Winter Caretaker would be arriving soon. What are some of the things that the Caretaker is responsible for?

My family and I just wanted to thank you for all you do! We hiked up on November 1st and loved every minute of it. We are already planning for next year. Until then, we will remain here in Flat FL!

We finally made it up Saturday. It was absolutely gorgeous and loved the snow. We came up the Boulevard and down Alum that same day. We brought friends who had never been and they want to go back.

Allyson...thanks for sharing all season long. I love seeing the pictures that you post. I had an accident on one of the trails in the smokies a couple of years ago and ended up on crutches. I had people asking me if I would do it again and I said yes. 'Why?' 'Because you can't get the same view from down below.' Take care and have a good winter.
