Morning y'all,
It's another beautiful, clear morning up top. The high yesterday reached 33 degrees. The low was 8 degrees, recorded yesterday morning. It was 30 degrees and clear at 7am observation. The mountain received no new snow and there is about 5 inches remaining up top. Alum is in very good shape. I hiked down and up yesterday, it is relatively packed down without being too slick. It looks like it's shaping up to be another beautiful day, so I'll see y'all on the trails! Much thanks to my trail angels from Kentucky! I truly appreciate your generosity!

glad you're back again this year - it will be good to see Mt LeConte thru your eyes again this winter 11/29/2014 02:39:06 am
JP, I very much enjoy your daily photos, comments and enthusiasm! Based on my two trips to the top the past two years, I find it amazing how you just "pop" up and down the trails and round about, no matter the weather, and all alone. Youth and experience I'm sure.

I love your weather observations and snow depth information from on top. Being from Illinios, I can not be there as often as I would like but I love the high country there. Keep 'em coming!
