Good morning,
Today looks to be a rainy day from sun up till sun down so be sure to bring that rain gear and extra set of dry clothes. Temperatures are staying above freezing so we are not expecting any snow today. I was out on Alum Cave trail yesterday and at higher elevations there is still ice on the trail so take caution and bring those traction devices. Last nights low reached 30 degrees and we have only climbed to 37 degrees and not expecting to get much warmer. A rainy day in the clouds causes a quiet day at the lodge but still plenty to get done as crew hurries around head to toe in rain gear.

You guys are doing a great job with this site. Much appreciated! I do have one suggestion if not too much trouble. Along with the YTD rain/snow/temp data, could you also post the AVG value too? I quite often wonder how today's values compare with the averages. Thanks if you can. Great job! I have a cabin reserved for May 26, 2019 (age 75).

A group of us (17) came up from Atlanta on Saturday night to watch the sunset. Afterwards, we needed to prepare for the descent and it was a pleasant surprise to find the office open and heated. The 20 minutes or so that we spent in there was a fun and memorable part of the hike. Hopefully its being open and heated is procedure, rather than an oversight.
