We are sitting in the clouds this morning as strong winds push those rain clouds closer in. Forecasts are calling for the rains to start falling around midday. Thankfully temperatures are staying well above freezing so we should avoid any snow or ice build up. It is currently 41 degrees outside but with these winds and a slight mist in the air it feels much colder. Be sure to pack that rain gear and some warmer layers. Our llama friends have got two more trips up the mountain before the end of the season. They will be coming up Sunday and Wednesday. These warmer days look to be coming to an end this weekend as we are looking at chilling temperatures to come back Saturday night.
Note to any guests hoping to summit via Trillium Gap Trail. Roaring Fork officially closes for the winter on Nov. 25, so anyone parked inside the gate on the 24th runs the risk of getting locked in.
