Looking like the upper elevations could see a mix of sun and clouds today, but nonetheless it should be a wonderful day to get outside and enjoy the mountains. Still looking at superbly mild temps this late in the calendar year, spending our time in the 40s and 50s. Reminder that today and tomorrow could see breezy conditions even with the sunshine. By the latter half of Tuesday and into the holiday we could finally see the return of rain. It’s still too early to know where Eta will track once it makes it landfall from the Gulf and whether it has southern Appalachia in its sights. In the meantime, the trails are in great shape without any icy hazards, but be mindful of where you step in fresh leaf litter. Every so often they can obscure a gnarly root or slick rock.
Have a great end to the week.
