Good afternoon! Well, we are still afloat on the mountain, but it feels like we might get blown away before the day is out. There has been rain on and off all day with more to come this evening and strong, gusting wind. Yesterday's high was 57 and the low overnight was 47. It's chilly right now at 50 degrees. Everyone hiking today take caution when crossing streams as they will be very rapid. Also be aware of fallen branches and slippery trail conditions. I would personally suggest against taking Rainbow Falls trail up either today or tomorrow based on the amount of rain that has fallen and forecast to fall tonight. Be safe everyone!

I was planning a day hike trip to Alum Cave tomorrow to watch the sunset.. I don't mind some rain, but do you think conditions may be dangerous at all? Also how is the fall foliage looking so far?

Hiked up Alum yesterday. Not many people on trail. Rained but not all that bad. Heading up again this morning. Would like to see the sun today.
