Hello again! What a stormy weekend we have had! Yesterday 1.22" of rain fell, less than expected but still a significant amount. The high was 53 and the low was 46 overnight. Today has been very windy and grey. It is cool, only 48 degrees at the moment.
And now a haiku from some of our guests who stayed Oct. 1: Hiking in the rain- The stream and path are one- Dry cabin awaits. "From the gang in Cabin 10 after hiking up Trillium Gap Trail." -Peter & Ester Bent -Donna & Jeff Sell -David Negrotto

Bullhead on a cloudy/rainy day with temps in the 50's? Be still my heart (I'm serious).

What is happening to all of the crew? They are all leaving?

Jan, if you go back to the blog for September 21st, Brian gives a play by play of what the crew are doing at that moment. I counted 10 crew members, not including Alan. I'm guessing maybe some of the crew just don't want their personal info published, and I can understand that. Just my guess. Have a good "funday" Monday! : )

You are correct, Tammy, I know one who mentioned to me not wanting personal information published. I can relate to that.

Hi there! Are you all done with the lottery for 2016? I submitted an online request in August. Should I assume all spots are taken or is it ok to call and try to get a reservation? Or maybe there's still time? Thanks for your help!!

Candi - I'd say call the reservation number. As of this morning there were still openings. I was able to get two consecutive days for April. You just need to be flexible as to when you can go. It certainly is refreshing reading your post .It satisfies the yearning that is deep within me to be up on the Mt,even if only temporary.I realize that if this was another day in another time ,i would be there and would be called a Mt man.I have always been this way. When i was a younger man i use to satisfy this yearning by walking and fishing the creek.I would wind up walking miles because i could not yet stop knowing there was another bend in the creek that my eyes had not seen,at least in a bit.Thank you for having the best job in the World as far as i am concerned, and sharing it daily with me.
