Good Morning, What a beautiful day it is here at the lodge. When sitting at 6593 feet, sometimes you get to be above the clouds. Sunrise this morning spread an array of colors over the tops of the clouds making it look like an ocean of orange and red. What a spectacular place to be. Even though temperatures dropped to a crazy 29.8 degrees last night, crew and guests stayed warm in the comfort of their cabins. Some crew members even showed up to work this morning in shorts! We are currently at 33 degrees and hoping to start warming up soon. We are expecting tonight to be another cold night so be sure to hike up with plenty of warm layers. No rain on the forecast for today and after receiving 3.8 inches over the past 24 hours we are very happy about that. -Adventure is out there.

It was a beautiful day for my dad, grandfather, and I to hike up Alum and down the Boulevard and to Myrtle Point in between!! Also, loved seeing the llamas! Looking forward to coming back again on fall break next year!
