Weather conditions on the mountain are windy and cloudy. The high yesterday was 61 with a low of 41. Blue sky keeps trying to show thru the layer of clouds. I have to say I was amazed yesterday when we had another bear sighting. A rather large bear wandered thru camp during dinner. It was the largest bear I have seen in camp in my 8 seasons. Chris and I estimate it weighed between 200 and 250 lbs. It did have an ear tag, and it showed the same signs as the bear we had in camp earlier in the season. If it is the same bear, it has been eating well!

I can only imagine the activity that has transpired today at your Sevierville reservation office ! I submit mine by snail mail as my luck with the telephone lines, especially while at work, is minimal; The selection / allotment process is one I'll never understand. Perhaps your newest bear is looking for a place to den up for the winter. How do you select the winter caretaker for the offseason ? Have a good weekend. Comments are closed.
