Today is another wonderful day at the top. With a rain free day and cooler temperatures (compared to the valley below) most visitors to the summit are found outside soaking up all the beauty. Whether you are coming up for the day, looking for a few hours get away or you are coming up as an overnight guest, be sure to stop at Cliff Tops or Myrtle Point to get some spectacular views of Great Smoky National Park. Both are less than a mile from the Lodge and any crew member would be happy to give you directions if needed. Yesterday we received a light 0.10 inches of rain. Last nights low was a surprising 52 degrees with high of 63 degrees. Currently we are at 58 degrees and forecast are not calling for rain for the rest of the evening.
