Well, the days are drawing to a close and we only have a week and a half left in the 2011 season. And what a great season it has been. With the beautiful weather this weekend, we saw lots of day hikers trying to get in a few more hikes before the winter weather comes to stay. After the astonishingly cold weather last week, it comparatively doesn't even feel like November now. Overnight the temperature only dropped down to 36 and it is already in the middle 40s but clouds have moved in to blanket our little mountaintop. We are not expecting any sunshine today. It is calling for rain showers the next few days. Be sure to pack your raincoat!

Thats an unusual name, and it is very special to me ( it was my mothers name ), she pased away in 97, cancer

Sorry to see this season drawing to a close but at least it gets me closer to my next stay in June 2012. Looking forward to a return trip!

When I first read of Allan's impending retirement as Llama wrangler, I felt a bit sad but finding out he will continue as a member of the crew for 2012 is good news. He will be able to give that pesky knee a rest and still see his four legged friends on a regular basis. I guess this is one of those "when one door closes another opens" moments.

Thank you for your great pics. Due to chemotherapy and my husbands death I did not make our yearly journey to the top. We-my son and I are set for next Sept. (our usual time)and I hope to see you then. Thank you again - I did not make it in person but did in sprit because of your pics.

Thanks to the well-wishers for my birthday! It was an awesome experience, and I will do it again! The staff there is absolutely gracious and some of the friendliest I have encountered. Thank you for a wonderful 50th! Comments are closed.
