I love that last stretch through the pines. You know you are there. Looks a lot better in snow than water rushing down it.

Are those pics from today? Jan. 4? Two friends and I were looking at coming up there on Jan. 15, and we were going to take snowshoes. But some of the reports I had seen said there was only an inch of snow on Leconte. That looks to be more than an inch.

Is there shelter up top for a winter overnight? Would love to make a trek out there, but from Greensboro a Day hike doesn't seem like a feasible trip. Comments are closed.
