It's all worth it!

5/20/2011

I've never considered myself to be a morning person and part of my job requires me to arise into the darkness.  Beginning my day with stars and being greeted shortly after by the glorious sun, makes every minute (without sleep) worth it.

We are starting to return to much more normal temperatures.  Yesterday brought us moments of sun and pleasure.  The times of sun made it feel much warmer than 52.  We're hoping for more sun today.  We had a good start to the day with a moderate overnight temperature of 44.  That's much better than a few days ago!  Have a wonderful weekend!

I could not believe how pink the sky was for a short time this morning!  I love the sunrise! Maybe it's because I don't get to see it that often that it makes it even more special!

We hiked up Trillium trail last Tuesday, May 17 and spent the night. What a great time we had. We were very upset though on the way down on Wednesday how many places we say tissues or toilet paper right along the trail. Please stress more that ANY & ALL trash is to be packed back out of the park!!! In general people are very inconsiderate & need some education on back country hiking..Thanks to all for a great time on Leconte!!!
