Guests have been mentioning that with all of the rain that the trails are very muddy with puddling in some areas and also some erosion in spots. More rain is predicted over the weekend but should be more along the line of the normal summer pattern of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, so don't forget to pack some rain gear and your personal items in dry bags.
Just a reminder that Rainbow Falls trail is closed Monday through Thursday for the second year of a two year trail restoration project through the Trails Forever Program. The parking lot is open to allow hikers to use the Trillium Gap connector trail and Old Sugarlands Trail. As of now Bullhead trail is still closed.
Llamas should be packing Sunday, Wednesday and Friday next week but trips are subject to change.
