The weather forecast laughed in our face once again. We were taunted with views of the sunny hillsides in the low lands while a thick cloud swathed us all day. It was a cold and windy day around camp. The high was 49 with a low of 41. We recieved a little over .9" of rain during the night. The lodge is currently experiencing thick cloud coverage and rain this morning.

Good morning: I guess that right about now the breakfast bell is being rung. I never could decide which meal I enjoyed the most, breakfast or dinner. Both are very well prepared. I'm not completely sure, but just above the center in your photo beneath the cloud appears to be Chimney Tops. Looking up at this point from the road below is inspiriing, and looking down is likewise a very interesting perspective. There are several nice viewing spots along the Alum Trail and the one in your photo is one of my favorites; when I reach that vantage point a great feeling of satisfaction overcomes me as I know then that I'm not far distant from the lodge. Could be a wet week ahead. G'day.

Yippee!!! only 25 more days until I get to stay up top again. Now I am excited! I just know Allyson will have the perfect blend of snow, sun and good company. Can't wait. Comments are closed.
