The sunset did not disappoint last night. I told some guests it was going to be a good one. The clouds that had been threatening us with rain were going to make for a great show. I was drawn to how the window captured the color.
Looking at the forecast, I see a lot of rain in our future. I keep hearing how the rest of the country is in need of rain. I sure wish I could send some to all of you. Chris and I are getting ready for much needed days off. We will be hiking down tomorrow. I am sure you will be entertained by Mr. Kirkham and his fabulous talent for story telling.

This is one of my all time favorites, too. I look up High on Leconte every morning to see the pic and change my computer background often. My dad passsed on Jan 22nd. The pic that day was just a light coming through clouds. Reminded me of the light talked about we will see when we pass. It's amazing how many times your pics touch me!

The reflection in the window, capturing all the color, is absolutely amazing!

I can't recall where I saw the cartoon, but this looks like one of four frames. In the second, someone walks up to the window frame grabbing both sides. In the third frame the window frame has been ripped out leaving blank white behind as if the frame were ripped from a larger painting. In the last frame, the windowframe is tucked under the tuggers arm, with the reflection still intact within the frame as the tugger walks away leaving a ragged white tear where the picture was.

Allyson, you are a genius with a camera! What a creative eye. I am so amazed day after day how you so often top yourself. Keep em comin! 9/6/2012 02:28:53 am
Looking through a mirror from different positions is like looking at the mirror image of space without further mirrors only the mirror image of the halfspace before the mirror is relevant; if there is another mirror, the mirror image of the other halfspace is too. Thanks. Comments are closed.
