Sand Under My Feet, Nope That Is Snow!!!!

5/18/2011

Sand between my toes. I nice tall glass of ice tea. Wearing shorts and a tank top. These are the thoughts that get me through days like yesterday. 29 degrees  and snow flurries on May 16th. It just feels strange.  I am hiking back down the mountain after dinner tonight. Please, mother nature, I am begging you, deliver warmer weather in the valley. The high yesterday was 39. Meredith will keep you up to date on the mountain happenings until Tuesday. In the mean time, enjoy the video.

A cold wet day on Leconte is better than a sunny dry day at home! Thanks for the video.

LOVE IT! My favorite time to visit the Smokys is during winter. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Enjoying the view from a rain-soaked Cincinnati, and fully appreciating your desire for a little sunshine.

What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on with this wacky weather? I'm going back to Coral Gables-- it's going to be 90 tomorrow. My old blood is too thin for cold weather and SNOW in mid-May! LOL! I only hope it is warm next month for my hike.

Found - Hawaii wedding photos on 2GB Kingsport SD card. Found last July 4 on hike to LeConte. Just found this when getting out hiking gear for another hike. Hope someone knows who this belongs to and responds. Contact LeConte Lodge if you lost this. They will let me know.

I was there on this evening and couldn't believe my eyes! It was cold - 26 degrees the following morning! Hot chocolate and some great music made it a wonderful evening!
