Good afternoon! Another foggy day up on the mountain top. Yesterday we received .05" of rain. The high was 63 and the low overnight was 46. Right now it is cloudy and misty and the temperature has settled in around 60 degrees. Happy hiking!

We're coming up late next month - is there anything we can bring up for the crew?

Ruthie, your LeConte area photos are awesome! Appreciate your efforts in continuing the blog with trail info & photos to entice us hikers to visit LeConte.

Do you mean 'center top', Doug? No, Norman........just look at and near the center of the photo, and a wee bit to the left of center, where that orange "ring" seems to be hovering above that one tree there. Regardless of what you may personally see, or imagine, it's a pretty photograph and these make for good desktop backgrounds. I have enough of these posted photos to publish a book of them, but they are technically the property of the Lodge; I'm satisfied to just look at them occasionally. G'day.

My parents (Gray & Mary) will be coming up there this weekend to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. We lived in Knoxville from 1975-1987 and back in the day they regularly hiked to Mt. LeConte. Actually, the whole family enjoyed going up there. They're very excited to return! Please keep an eye out for them! Thanks!!
