Happy Labor Day to all. As promised, there was a little liquid precip action during the night and early morning, but eased off in plenty of time for folks to start enjoying the kickstart to the day. Clouds have been and will likely linger around the mountain top much of the remaining day with occasional breaks of light. Temps are mild and with a light breeze, cool to some. We’re going to be lucky to break beyond the 60° mark today. We’re looking at a slight chance of showers through midweek, but by this weekend sunny skies seem to take hold. Count on plenty of traffic congestion in and around the Smokies today as travelers make their ways home while others still hope to get some outdoor enjoyment returning to the grind tomorrow.
Have a great rest of the holiday.
