Soaking Up the Rays

7/15/2012

The coneflowers are awaking on the mountain. Soon, the mountainside will painted a bright yellow. The sun is out and the color of the flowers helped to lift my spirits. I have not had enough solar power to charge any of the batteries to run my "Happy Light". I was beginning to get a little irritable. At least, that is what my husband is saying. The crew seems to be in the same good spirits. It is amazing what a little sun on your face can do to make it a better day.

I really look forward to your comments and information on wildflowers around you; I've typed many of them and added them to my wildflower field books, for they make interesting and valuable additions, etc. thanks;

Its amazing how much rain you have had and much of the country has had so little. We are so dry up here. I love the flowers with the cabin in the background.

In the process known as soaking, the hides are soaked in clean water to remove the salt left over from curing and increase the moisture so that the hide or skin can be further treated. Thanks.

The hydrogen atoms supplied by the sharpening agent weaken the cystine cysteine molecular link, and the covalent disulfide bond links are ruptured, which weakens the keratin. Thanks.
