Some interesting weather heading this way

1/24/2013

Sorry for the delay in posting. Computers and phones have been out at the office. It was a nice morning at the Lodge. Clouds are clearing. High was 26, low 5.  It has been very windy. Snow has not melted so still about 5 inches. A front is heading this way with ice, freezing rain, sleet  and possibly snow. Higher elevations may get ice rather than snow because  of a temperature inversion.  JP is due in sometime tomorrow so he should be posting late Friday or Saturday.

Research food combinations. Protein needs building blocks like amino acids which can be found in soy, to be absorbed properly, vegan or not. Rice and beans is a good example of combining food to absorb protein.

The flower names and meanings can stand for all these things if you just take the time to look them up and interpret them for the person you're gifting.

Thank you for continuing the posts while JP is gone. Shirley, I think they mean if you have a website, you can put the URL address for it in that blank. If you don't have a website you can just skip that one. I put my Facebook address there for now.

Also, I just learned, because of Shirley's comment, that the little arrow by some people's names will take you to their website if you left-click on it.

It sure looks like JP will get his wish for some serious Winter weather. Considering he is coming from San Diego it might be a bit of shock - LOL!

Weather is a little dicey or should I say icy here in North Ga. Ice + a Ga's driving skill in winter weather = disaster. Be safe today.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Debi

I'm here!!!!
Just shoveled another 6 or 7 inches of snow and still coming down strong in Michigan. You know those darn Michigan people, one hand on the steering wheel and one with a beer. Or I'd have to change that to cell phone. lol :) Gotta love it!

I have one more philosophical-theological thought to leave with you good hikers. Your spirit is your true self. It is eternal and makes you one with all of life.your body is only a part of you that, as we all know, is temporary. You can live life in the body and offer fear, anger, jealousy and judgement or you can live life in the spirit and offer only love.live life in the spirit. Be happy you deserve it.

We need to look at JP's posts as freely given by his choice, in whatever form they come, not as something owed to us.

True...but I'm highly anticipating the return of JP and his posts. It will be good to hear from him again and see the mountain through his eyes.

To each of us....

Over the past week, I've witnessed how much we all greatly appreciate, and miss, JP's daily insightful commentary and "life on the mountain" updates. I view this site every day, and value it tremendously, especially the very thoughtful and mentally pleasing introspect JP offers us! If only all of us were of JP's purpose and value!

But above all that that, JP has taught us a very, very important lesson in my opinion. He has taught us that nothing is forever! He has taught us to treasure what we have...our family, our friends, our religion, our health, our country, our friends, our freedom! Value it all, as if it won't last forever, because it won't! I thank JP for these vital reminders, and for the opportunity to express this important lesson he has taught me this week.
